Even though now 80, I still teared of several times reading your column and sharing your grief... Having four children and eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren really makes this hit home.
I sympathize with the struggle to involve your kids in the sports and other activities that become so overwhelming. I remember how crazy it could be! Sports organizers are like lots of teachers. They seem to forget they are not the only ones demanding time from our kids. It can make a parent think about or wish they could home school and just travel the country to beat the craziness! 🤪
