Thanks for your article reminding us of our shared humanity across the globe! Thanks also for reminding us of the early Christians in Antioch (Antakya). I have been reading about the early Church, during the period of late first century and early second century. These Christians were not only very spiritual, but also highly committed to reaching out to any and all poor people. They often held all things in common and would search out the poor. It was often said that wherever Christians had been living for awhile, you wouldn't find any poor because the poor were being taken care of. What a great example for us!
