THIS IS A COMPASSIONATE LEAVING SHARING. I.M MOVED TO NEAR TEARS WITH READIUNG THIS KNOWING MANY OF THE PEOPLE IN YOUR WORLD HAVE TEARS READING THIS. YOUR SHARING ON LOVE IS TRULY OUTSTANDING. I AFFIRM YOUR PASTORAL SENSE AROUND LOVE. I WISH I HAD DONE SUCH A LOVE EXPRESSION WHEN I LEFT THE ONE PARISH I SHARED IN OREGON.

Angela,

Here is where I am going and where the Church should go if it is to survive in the postmodern age.

From Franciscan sister and scientist Ilia Delio finds evidence for a benevolent universe in evolutionary change driven by love:

To say “God is love” is to say that the name God refers to the divine energy of love that is dynamic, relational, personal, and unitive. God does what God is—love. Rather than seeing God as a separate being over the world, we can say that love-energy is the stuff of existence. . . . Where there is energy of attraction, union, generativity, and life, there is God. . . .

And from Brian Thomas Swimme, a Mathemamatical Cosmologist:

We live in an intelligent universe. A universe that “knew” from the very beginning that life was coming.

Whatever we call this power, it suffused the early universe like a primordial intelligence. The universe, somehow, knew we were coming.

Piece,

Chris
