I must comment on politicians, especially Rs. The men maybe don't know about periods of if the do, they don't care! The few women Rs, must know or are just stupid ( see Bonhoeffer “after ten years”), or just don't give a damn about anyone but themselves.
I think there's both a deeply held internalized shame on the part of many women in the anti-abortion movement, as well as a refusal to engage in introspection and identification with "the least of these." But for the grace of God go I ... thanks for reading, Chris.
